The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. This piece began as a photograph of the interesting pattern I noticed on some wrought iron lawn furniture. As the images in the background behind the furniture came into focus it presented a sense of restriction which created the concept for this piece.
