Perfect piece for our imperfect world, Darla! That's what's so great about being an artist... we can paint the sky green and the grass red... it's all good all beautiful! L/F

Darla Wood replied:

Ah yes, Roger...it is a beautiful thing to have creative control! Thank you for the lovely comment and continued support....it is very much appreciated :-)

Love this image as is. Instant v/f. By the way, sometimes in correcting lens distortion, I find that some other imperfection develops so in fixing a vertical line, the horizontal line goes whacko, for example. I agree it's a balancing act sometimes and sometimes I "correct" distortion and sometimes I leave it alone. I am not an expert, however, and I respect Michel's viewpoint and art tremendously.

Darla Wood replied:

Many thanks for your visit, Lenore. Personally, I love this image ;-) I am very thankful for your favorable critique and opinion. (what gets me about tweaking is that once I start making little corrections I start seeing other odd things and before I know it I start to dislike it and then end up sending it to file thirteen ;-). I too always respect the opinion of both of you and appreciate the commentary.

I know this discussion about perfection, and i knew you would refer to it. Near perfection is perfect enough...i am glad you are nearly perfect....lol...:)))

Well...you know that the danger of these shots are the straight lines that show a tiny curve, due to lens limitation. The left vertical in the window shows that distortion...you can easily eliminate that in photoshop...under filters..lens distortion..than you pull with your mouse in the middle on the left edge to the left while keeping an eye on the grid overlay....sorry for this small criticism but i like to help a good friend whenever i can.....but....maybe you wanted it like that...so than you can ignore this whole text...lol

Darla Wood replied:

Are you kidding me…should I take this comment seriously…Ignore that whole text….yes…that is exactly what I shall do! ……… lolololol….gotcha! Seriously….I appreciate your generous tutorial and fine tuning my friend. Well, therein lies the true question…do you embrace the imperfections and just enjoy the image or return to studio for tweaking. Hmmmm…it is a balancing act! A good friend mentioned to me that perfectionism leads to madness and reminded me there is nothing in life that is perfect…. maybe with photoshop all imperfections be gone. What needs to be invented is a “ Life Journey Photoshop”…one that can correct all our daily flaws…lololo…just sayin :)))
